Christian Thies and Marc Schneider named Regional Sales Managers DACH; form dual management for the region
Munich, 13 October 2016 – Cloudian, Inc., a leading 100 percent native Amazon S3 object storage provider, has announced today that it has established its first local sales team in the DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) region. The new local team of sales experts and sales engineers reflects the growing demand in the region for Cloudian’s flagship software, HyperStore.
The new team will be headed by two Sales Managers, Christian Thies and Marc Schneider, in dual management roles for the region. Christian Thies has more than 18 years experience in IT sales and business development. Thies previously worked at Commvault’s Cloud Solution Group, and prior to that at NetApp. For Cloudian, Thies will be responsible for the Northern part of Germany.
Responsible for the southern part of Germany as well as Austria and Switzerland will be Marc Schneider, who joins Cloudian as the second Sales Manger DACH. Marc Schneider has experience in the IT sector reaching back to the late 1990s. Over the last 13 years he has focused predominantly on the enterprise storage market with roles at Hitachi Data Systems, EMC, Tintri and Violin Memory.
Thies and Schneider now join the existing sales engineers to build out Cloudian’s footprint in the region. They will be working closely with Cloudian’s local distributor ELD Datentechnik and established local partners like Rausch Netzwerktechnik and itiso GmbH. The goal is to build reliable, affordable and scalable object storage solutions for enterprises, to extend Cloudian’s reach in the region and offer new and existing customers a local base to work with.
